Remus returns to Hogwarts transformed - taller, harder, and dressed like a skinhead after his criminal summer. The marauders are shocked by his new appearance and smoking habit. News of the wizarding war creates tension between houses, and Remus violently confronts Severus Snape on the train. Sirius finds Remus in an empty compartment and they begin to reconnect, with Remus sharing the newspaper clippings about his father and Greyback.
