Harry Potter and the Problem of Bad Representation: Part 1

While we’re longtime fans of Harry Potter, the author’s actions have left a bad taste in our mouth, and we do want to discuss the impact they’ve had both recently and in her creation of the story. In this episode, Teegan and Lindsay dive into the problematic aspects of the Wizarding World, including racism, sexism, and queerbaiting. We still love Harry, but the world is definitely not as inclusive as it portrays itself to be, and while we can only discuss so much in part 1 (part 2 coming in two weeks!), we set the foundation for this very needed discussion.
