Hey Buddy, We Have to Watch ELF

Today we are talking about the 2003 holiday favorite directed by Jon Favreau starring Will Farrell, James Caan and Mary Steenburgen. Raised as an over-sized elf, Buddy, a human travels from the North Pole to NYC to meet his biological father who doesn't know he exists and is in desperate need of some Christmas spirit.   Buddy: “We elves try to stick to the four main food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corns, and syrup.”      Some of our favorite parts of this movie are:   Will Farrell’s childish acting The iconography of the Rankin & Bass cartoons The casting of James Caan Happy accidents like the Santa looking fellow wearing an all red sweat suit.
