Clare McFadden spends her days piecing together stories from bits of bones and relics from a time in deep history. Clare is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Biological Anthropology at the Australian National University (ANU). 'Deep history' refers to a time before documented history- where there were no written records of what life was like. Clare's work in this research at the ANU has led her to discoveries that shed light on how families lived and breathed hundreds of thousands of years ago.
