There are few things as distressing as being separated from your family. Many people have had a taste of what enforced separation from loved ones feels like during the coronavirus pandemic, and some know what it's like to have family stranded somewhere unsafe.This is what life is like for Kamalle Dabboussy, CEO of the Western Sydney Migrant Resource Centre. His daughter and three grandchildren have been stranded in a Kurdish refugee camp for the last two-and-a-half years. Kamalle has tried everything in his power to bring her and other Australian women and children home, but with no resolution in sight he decided to write about his experience.
