Researchers from the Cerebral Palsy Alliance want mums to understand that kissing their toddlers on the mouth should go on the same list as not eating soft cheeses and raw fish. Cytomegalovirus (CMV) is a common virus that has been linked to developmental and intellectual difficulties in babies. Dr Hayley Smithers-Sheedy, a research fellow from the Cerebral Palsy Alliance, explains how CMV can be avoided. Hayley joins Pam Rogers, a mum who found out she had CMV at 26 weeks pregnant.
