This week, the Grue-Crew shield their eyes from the on-screen horror of e-Demon, head to the dilapidated home of George MacKay, and discover that a Muse may enjoy killing people. The first film tonight is E-DEMON of director Jeremy Wechter, a found-footage/computer-screen yarn with a "viral" demon Skyping his way to doom. In the second slot,  MARROWBONE from director Sergio G. Sánchez lands on HULU with a gothic ghost tale featuring George MacKay, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Charlie Heaton. The final film is MUSE where an artist gets more than he bargained for. The hunt is on for the diamond in the rough. Doc Rotten from Horror News Radio and Jeff Mohr from Decades of Horror: The Classic Era are joined by Rafe Telsch and Vanessa Thompson.

Muse - Marrowbone - e-Demon

E-DEMON

On a mission to bring the Devil to Earth, an escaped demon manipulates a group of friends hanging out on a video-chat. Since this ruthless demon can possess multiple people at once, knowing who to trust is the key to survival.

"A.J. is so slimy. I have to give it to (Christopher Daftsios) as an actor. He portrayed that character really well - gross and slimy and really despicable." - Vanessa

"I kind of got into the overall gist of the plot of what this demon was trying to do. … (but) it didn’t quite make sense. I think there are some flaws in its own mythology which undoes itself." - Doc

Director: Jeremy Wechter
Cast: Julia Kelly, John Anthony Wylliams, Christopher Daftsios

Release: Jeremy Wechter's e-DEMON - in theaters and On Demand September 14, 2018

MARROWBONE

A young man and his three younger siblings, who have kept secret the death of their beloved mother in order to remain together, are plagued by a sinister presence in the sprawling manor in which they live.

"Even though I could feel the time, I was okay with it, because it was very intricate. The story had a lot of depth to it. … I enjoyed it. The actors were all engaging, The cinematography was great and I loved the sets." - Jeff

"The good thing about this movie is it sticks the landing. It really ends on a high note." - Doc

Director: Sergio G. Sánchez
Cast: George MacKay, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Heaton

Release: Currently available on HULU

MUSE

A painter's life is forever changed when a mythical and deadly spirit from Celtic lore -- a Leannán Sí -- becomes his muse and lover.

"This is (made by) someone who really values art, because the art that they use in this film, that’s created, that’s inspired by the muse, had to be created by someone and it’s beautiful. There is some beautiful lighting and (there are) some beautiful scenes and shots." - Vanessa

"Jennifer Lauren Friedman is the artist for Adam’s paintings and I think she deserves credit for that because those were a key part of the movie and in this case, this was really good art. It really sold the whole story." - Jeff

"There are moments here that I think really work especially as it gets toward the end and I do like the resolution quite a bit. I like the decisions they made." - Doc

Director: John Burr
Cast: Riley Egan, Elle Evans, Kate Mansi
