Our stuff has a life long after we let it go...On this episode we are still in the thick of it at the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival we sift through the beauty of 'Scrap' which is having it's world premiere at the festival.'Scrap' is a visual examination and meditation on the vast haunting spaces where our airplanes, cars, farm equipment and even cell phones go to rust. We get some insight on the beauty, the purpose and the inherent sadness that lies in those things that we leave behind and how putting a little effort into repurposing and restoration might just provide more new life then we can possibly imagine.We had the unique pleasure of sitting down with filmmaker Stacey Tenenbaum about the ideas in the film, why it was presented so beautifully and so very much more.You can check out 'Scrap' at the festival (or later this summer and fall when it plays theatres and eventually airs on TV) or you can check it out as a part of the Online Hot Docs package anywhere in Canada as of May 2nd for 5 days.
