Even on the best of days....family can be difficult.On this episode we are diving head first into a brand new movie coming off of a fantastic festival run and debuting today on the Apple TV+ streaming service.  It's time for 'Raymond & Ray'.Half-brothers Raymond (Ewan McGregor) and Ray (Ethan Hawke) have always lived in the shadow of their terrible father. Somehow, they still each have a sense of humor, and his funeral is a chance for them to reinvent themselves. There’s anger, there’s pain, there’s folly, there might be love, and there’s definitely gravedigging.It's tender, it's honest and it's pretty damn funny.  Raymond & Ray is a reminder to all of us that there are no rules when it comes to dying and there are especially no rules when it comes to living as we see these two men come to terms with who they are what they've become in the wake of their whirlwind of a father.We had the unique pleasure of sitting down with write/director Rodrigo Garcia to talk about the origins of the story, the complications of family, the ugly humanity of being a person and so very much more.
