The Spiritual Person or the Animal Person: which one are you?

In Your Presence - Podcast autorstwa Eric Nicolai

Readings from Tuesday in the 22nd week in Ordinary Time: 1 Corinthians 2, 10-16: After his failed attempts in Athens, Paul makes his way to Corinth, and he speaks about the spiritual person and the animal person: "An unspiritual person is one who does not accept anything of the Spirit of God" (1 Cor 2, 15). The Vulgate says: Animalis autem homo non percipit ea quæ sunt Spiritus Dei. St. Josemaria said: “We have no alternative, there are only two possible ways of living on this earth: either we live a supernatural life, or we live an animal life. And you and I can only live the life of God, a supernatural life” (Friends of God, 200). Fr. Eric Nicolai preached in Ernescliff College, on August 30, 2022. Music: Carlos Gardel, "Soledad", arranged by Bert Alink. Thumbnail: Paul at his writing desk by Rembrandt Van Rijn, 1629, Germanisches Nationalmuseum, Nurmeberg.
