Keith Stickley is the owner of Shenandoah Publications, which prints campus newspapers for colleges around Virginia. He also founded The Free Press, a newspaper that served his hometown and aggressively covered local issues and politicians. But he had to pull the plug on that paper when he just couldn’t make the economics work any longer. We hear his story as part of our Democracy in the Desert series.
