That means reviewing movies we’ve long wanted to review and talking to guests we’ve always wanted to have on the show. So this movie about the NFL’s craziest day required an expert guest who could help us separate facts from fiction. Lindsay Jones and her years of experience covering the National Football League made for the perfect guest. Make sure to follow Lindsay Jones @bylindsayhjones on Twitter & lindsayHjones on Instagram, and do subscribe to The Athletic to read all her NFL features. Mike & I have been long time fans of the sports world, the NFL, the NFL Draft, and The Athletic. So we love to read all of the great work by writers like Dane Brugler, Shams Charania, Jay Glazer, Peter Gammons, Dan Duggan, and of course, Lindsay Jones. Do take advantage of their free trial to bone up before and after this NFL Draft. Mike & I begin the episode with a brief production profile on 2014’s Draft Day, Lindsay joins us shortly thereafter, and then we’re having fun talking football, talking movies, and talking draft days past & present, real & fictional. When we get into the spoiler section, Lindsay shares several stories from her coverage of the infamous 2014 draft process, where spoiler alert(!), the Browns made the shocking selection of Johnny Manzell. Then she helps us separate facts from fiction as we break down the plot, and because we couldn’t get enough draft talk, we even pick Lindsay’s brain about the upcoming plans for our favorite teams, the Giants and Broncos. As always, we want to know what you think. What’d you think of Draft Day - the movie, and what do you think about draft day, this upcoming Thursday? We’re @MMandOscar on Twitter, and we are on Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, and Gmail. You can subscribe / rate / review / like / share / & listen to us on Apple Podcasts, Soundcloud, Stitcher, Google Play, Tune In, Spotify, and just about wherever you might listen. We’re Mike, Mike, & Oscar, and we’re making awards season year round, without the stuffiness. Thanks for listening.
