We Got Poked! The Acupuncture Episode

Mom Brain - Podcast autorstwa Gallery Media Group, Hilaria Baldwin & Daphne Oz

You're in for a hefty episode of Mom Brain chock full of detailed information! Hilaria and Daphne both swear by the practice of acupuncture and credit it for resolving many of their issues, be they digestion, postpartum recovery, menstrual cycle regulation and a lot more. They each invited their acupuncturists in to discuss the science behind how this ancient eastern form of medicine works in alleviating pain, helping with fertility, weight loss and so much more. Also, it wouldn't be a Mom Brain episode if the ladies didn't get poked with needles live on the show. So they both got their pulses checked and were administered needles according to what the acupuncturist found was causing problems. First up was Ann Cecil-Sterman, Hilaria's acupuncturist, a teacher, writer and fertility specialist. She is the author of the widely acclaimed, best-selling book, Advanced Acupuncture: A Clinic Manual, a required text in many acupuncture schools in the United States and more recently, The Art of Pulse Diagnosis, already a widely used text. She travels all over the United States, Europe and Australia to teach the application and methodology of the Complement Channels, the art of pulse diagnosis, (and with her husband Andrew, the use of food as medicine). Then it was Michelle Spina, Daphne's acupuncturist, expert in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology and Oriental Medicine. Her core specialty is Women’s health issues and fertility and she's trained in Arvigo Mayan fertility massage. She’s a registered yoga teacher trained in the Core Strength Vinyasa style.  Our Favorite Things: Brodo Bone Broth, Kings Spa and Sauna, and Jade Harmony Yoga Matt.
