Dr Tamra Fromm starts a 6-part series from Maryvale Institute which will cover various topics available for study through their online courses. The first topic being Catechism, Dr Fromm gives an engaging talk on what Catechesis is, its history, how it is transmitted and by whom. Dr Tamra Fromm is a lecturer in catechetics and research methods for Maryvale Institute. She is also a professor of catechetics and practicum supervisor for Catholic Distance University and teaches the Old Testament for the Catholic Biblical School of Michigan in the United States. Her professional background includes service in seminary administration and teaching, diocesan marketing for Catholic schools, and young adult ministry. She holds a PhD in theology. As a convert to the Catholic faith, she is passionate about reaching out to the ‘nones’ (or religiously unaffiliated) and has spoken and written extensively on evangelization.
