The REAL Problem with Alcohol...

In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (otherwise known as the Mormon Church or the LDS Church), members are encouraged to refrain from alcohol. But can they sell alcohol? Can they work somewhere that sells alcohol? Can they cook with alcohol, assuming it 'cooks out'?    The health code in the Church of Jesus Christ is called the Word of Wisdom and is found in the Doctrine and Covenants, section 89. Kwaku and David discuss alcohol specifically and how refraining from the consumption of alcohol is very important in obeying God's command.    However, if you feel trapped by an addiction to alcohol or another substance, you aren't too far from Christ's atonement.
