Think like a laser, not like the sun. Let me explain. Most people engage in self-help because they should. Because they should be “growing” and “improving” themselves. How do you expect to improve if you don’t know what you are trying to improve? Personalise your self-help habits according to your needs, not the should's. Most people have a specific problem but are consuming solutions for all other problems in the world. If you are overweight or not fit it’s best not to read “Think and grow rich” or “How to win friends and influence people”. It’s best to consume content related to fitness. If you are someone who has a lot of money and time it’s best to read investing books not the money making books. If you are struggling with money it’s best to read marketing and sales books. See what I am talking about? Write down all the specific issues you have in life and try to solve only one of them. Revolve your self-help content around that one problem and its solutions. It’s okay to have multiple issues but solve one at a time. Have a laser-like focus. If you ignore this simple fact then you will end up like the majority of people in self-help, trying without any results. One problem at a time and your life will quickly start to sort itself out :)
