Sober Stories: Mike

This week’s episode is with Mike in New Zealand, who is also the host of his own podcast show called ‘Sober Sunday Check-In Podcast’. Mike, born in Scotland, talks about his life and relationship with alcohol throughout teenage years where he recounts feeling different to his peers, to his twenties and thirties where he used alcohol to cope with pretty much everything life was throwing at him. After several stints of sobriety, he decided to pin a date in the diary (1st Jan 2022) as his day to get sober and stuck to it. He talks through the highs and lows of nearly one year sober and shares openly and with courage on how he is navigating life booze free today.
