BEING DIFFERENT Maybe you feel like the black sheep in your family, maybe you feel like the only one with faith or certain opinions, or maybe you just feel like you're not cool enough or that you don't fit in. Accept that this is normal. Ask yourself if you want a normal life - or a different life. Question if anyone is really "normal" Make your difference your superpower. * Appreciate Your Uniqueness* Take Pride in Being Different* Get Curious About How Your Difference Serves You and the World* Surround Yourself with Other People Who Are Different* Explore Your Passions* Focus on Individual Friendships* Understand that Your Brain is Creating Stories* Take Some Initiative* Have faith (intentionally reset this and choose this) to believe that you have purpose DEALING WITH LONELINESS Pay attention to your thoughts - your thoughts are creating your loneliness. Be careful not to over-personalize loneliness - that you're the only one. This is a human emotion and part of the human experience. An estimated 703,000 people a year take their life around the world. For every suicide, there are likely 20 other people making a suicide attempt and many more have serious thoughts of suicide Be on to yourself - know your loneliness thought patterns. * Identify why you feel lonely* Journal your thoughts and feelings* Learn how feeling your feelings* Pray * Change your atmosphere* Reach out to someone * Do something to help someone else CREATING HOPE AND PURPOSE WHEN YOU'RE FEELING DOWN Your mess can become your message. What was meant to harm you, God can use for your good. Billions of people need hope - will you be light? Create Hope: Envision a future you want Allow yourself to dream Take action to create change in things that you have control over Mindfully attack and eliminate self-pity Create Purpose: Do good in the world. Use your voice in a way that matters. Cultivate something beautiful in your life.
