Employee activism & hard conversations

A new era of employee activism is here. It’s a welcomed shift, but it’s also been a brutal transition from what used to be. There’s fighting and hurt feelings across the board as we learn how to talk about racial injustice, income inequality, climate change, and beyond. In this episode I share what I’ve learned about how to have these conversations at work. I also reference the recent MIT Sloan Management review article “Leading in a Time of Employee Activism,” by Megan Reitz and John Higgins — both of whom were guests on Brene Brown’s podcast, Dare to Lead.
