We kick off Unconventional Musical Month with a musical so insane it needs to be seen to be believed, the children gangster musical comedy spoof, Bugsy Malone. The film stars Jodie Foster, Scott Baio, and a whole cavalcade of child actors who play gangsters in a world full of cream pie guns, singing with adult voices, and pedal cars. It's cinematic insanity on a level that is rarely seen in modern cinema; it's a singular experience.
