16. War of the Gods

As the story begins to explain the advent of Garuda & the Snakes, prior to the great snake sacrifice, the introduction is made to Sage Astika, the saviour of the snake race. In the stories of Vinata and Garuda, features the celestial steed Uchchaisravas, who appeared after the churning of the ocean.
