Katie Sutton On The Inception & Growth Of The Festival Of Miles

The Running Effect Podcast - Podcast autorstwa Dominic Schlueter

Today on the podcast is the Katie Sutton, President of Festival of Miles.  The Festival of Miles Foundation’s mission is to promote the sport of track and field and give back to athletes in need. HOKA Festival of Miles is a charity track meet featuring 3 hours of non-stop action with youth and middle school races, high school races showcasing some of the nation’s top talent, and pro races featuring Olympic-level athletes. Each year proceeds from ticket sales go to an athlete/athletes in need. Jack Higgens is the athlete in need this year. Jack has bone cancer that has spread to his lungs, and FOM will send proceeds from their event to help Jack and his family this year.  In today's conversation, Katie takes me through the history of FOM, her personal back story in the sport of running, her thoughts on the 2024 edition, her hot takes for this year, the athlete in need, and so much more! I thoroughly enjoyed hearing the story behind FOM and the impact they've had on the sport. I am confident y'all will love this one!
