Paul Lightfoot, founded his controlled environment agriculture business or CEA business BrightFarms in Irvington, New York, and also spearheaded the CEA food safety coalition to create food safety standards and labeling unique to this indoor ag sector. That labeling will help retailers and shoppers make purchase decisions, and also protect consumers, as well as reduce confusion among CEA companies.
