Zephaniah the Zealot – Part 2 Zeph 2:1 Gather yourselves together, yes, gather together, O nation without discipline; 2 Before the decree comes forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of vuvh comes upon you, before the Yom of vuvh’s anger comes upon you.  3 Seek vuvh, all you meek of the earth, who have done His mishpat of Torah; seek tzedakah, seek meekness: it may be that you shall be hidden in the Yom of vuvh’s anger.  Oh יהוה how can we be saved from such a universal judgment? יהוה wants to gather us to guard us and hide us from calamity. Religion wants to seduce us with tales of flight and fancy – pre tribulation rapture and evasion of biblical reality… where in their mind tomorrow will be just like today. Isa 56:12  Come, let’s get wine, let’s guzzle strong drink. Tomorrow will be like today, only even better!” 4 For Azah shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the noonday, and Ekron shall be rooted up. 5 Woe unto the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation of Crete! The word of vuvh is against you also; O Kanaan, the land of the Plishtim, I will even destroy you, that there shall be no inhabitant. If we seek יהוה and repent then we’ll yield 3 fruits: humility: 1Pe 5:6  Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of יהוה , so that He may lift you up at the appropriate time. 1Pe 5:7  Cast all your worries on Him, for He cares for you. 1Pe 5:8  Stay alert! Watch out! They ask Me for righteous judgments; they delight in the nearness of יהוה.” righteousness: Matt 22:37 Yahusha spoke these words, Thou shalt love יהוה thy elohim with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39  And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the teachings of “Moshe and Zephanyah”. 1 Cor 1;25 Because the foolishness of יהוה is wiser than men; and the weakness of יהוה is stronger than men.26  For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: 27  But יהוה  hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and יהוה hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28  And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath יהוה chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: 29 That no flesh should glory in his presence. 30  But of him are ye in Messiah Yahusha, who of יהוה is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the master. Matt 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Mat 24:40  Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. v.41: Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 6 And the seacoast shall be dwellings and cottages for shepherds, and folds for flocks. 7 And the coast shall be for the remnant of Beit Yahudah; they shall feed there: in the houses of Ashkelon shall they lie down in the evening: for vuvh their Elohim shall visit them, and turn back their captivity.  8 I have heard the reproach of Moav, and the reviling of the children of Ammon, by which they have reproached My people, and magnified themselves against their border. 9 Therefore as I live, says vuvh tzevaoth, the Elohim of Yisrael, Surely Moav shall be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, even the breeding of weeds, and salt pits, and a waste forever: the remnant of My people shall plunder the
