Suffering from a severe headache Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) wakes up in the back of her Mother’s stolen RV. She finds herself again torn between resisting Alisa (Janet McTeer) and sending her to the raft or helping her mother to become better. After saving a family caught in a traffic accident, reminiscent of her own experience as a child,  Jessica decides to help her mother escape to Canada. Back in New York Malcolm Ducasse (Eka Darville) continues the investigation of Linda Chao (Angel Desai) and Steven Benowitz (Maury Ginsberg) that leads to a nice windfall and a new partnership with Pryce Cheng (Terry Chen) and Jeri Hogarth (Carrie-Anne Moss). whilst Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor) wakes up and begins to recover from her ordeal at the hands of Karl Malus (Callum Keith Rennie). But with renewed vigour she becomes hellbent on tracking Alisa to save Jessica. But, just as Alisa realises that she needs to give herself up to protect Jessica at a familiar amusement park Playland, the world comes crashing down tragically for Jessica as Trish attempts to become a hero. With the loss of her mother Jessica takes the blame, but does not forgive Trish for her actions. As Jessica, Malcolm and Trish drift apart, Trish discovers reflexes she never new she had; Malcolm embraces his new job and Jessica embraces a new “normal” life with her Super, Oscar Arocho (J.R. Ramirez), and his son Vido (Kevin Chacon).
