Synopsis for our Thor Love And Thunder Movie Review Directed by: Taika Waititi Story by: Taika Waititi Written by: Taika Waititi with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson In a barren desert Gorr and his daughter struggle to stay alive, but despite their prayers to their god, Rapu, his daughter dies. In Rapu’s lush realm, Gorr’s plight and grief, and his many years of devotion are dismissed by Rapu, who proceeds to strangle him. But the god-killing Necrosword, who called Gorr to Rapu's realm, offers itself to Gorr, who kills Rapu with it and vows to kill all gods, but all wielders of the Necrosword are cursed with impending death, from the sword's corrupt influence. As Gorr rampages across the galaxy exacting his revenge on Gods, his next target is New Asgard that brings him into the crosshairs of Thor the God of Thunder. Thor arrives in New Asgard just as Gorr attacks using the power of the sword to manipulate shadows and produce monsters. In the heat of battle Thor is surprised to find Dr Jane Foster wielding Mjolnir, after Mjolnir had reforged and bonded itself to a dying Jane Foster due to an enchantment Thor had unknowingly placed on it many years earlier to protect Dr Foster. He teams up with her, Valkyrie, and Korg and fights Gorr from New Asgard, but as he escapes, Gorr kidnaps several Asgardian children and imprisons them in the Shadow Realm. Thor learns where the children are being held after being contacted by Axl, Heimdall’s son, and decides to form an army of Gods to rescue them. They travel to Omnipotence City, but Zeus, fearing Gorr, refuses to help and they must escape the City on their own to pursue Gorr. Arriving at the Shadow Realm, the children are missing and Jane Foster deduces that the kidnappings were a trap, as Gorr needs Stormbreaker, in order to enter the realm of Eternity, who can grant his wish to destroy all gods. Ambushed, Gorr overpowers the group, severely injuring Valkyrie and managing to take Thor’s axe. At Eternity’s altar Thor and Jane Foster must fight to save the children of Asgard and for the survival of Gods. They destroy the Necrosword, freeing Gorr from its influence, and the three are brought into Eternity's realm. But Jane is at death's door weakened from using Mjolnir and with Gorr poised to make his wish, the outcome is uncertain. Thor implores Gorr to revive his daughter instead of destroying the gods, and moved by Thor’s tenderness with Jane, he wishes for Eternity to revive his child, which it grants. In the aftermath, Jane Foster's sacrifice is honored in New Asgard, where Valkyrie and Sif begin training the children. Thor adopts Love, Gorr’s resurrected daughter, who joins him wielding Mjolnir in his heroics. In a mid-credits scene back in Omnipotence City, a recuperating Zeus sends his son Hercules to kill Thor. In a post-credits scene, Foster arrives at the gates of Valhalla where she is welcomed by Heimdall and thanked for helping his son...
