The Disconnect: "Do you have any faith in this grid?"

Up First from NPR - Podcast autorstwa NPR

In February of 2021, three severe winter storms swept through Texas. The state was not prepared. More than five million people were left without heat and running water, in the bitter cold, for days. It's been a year and a half since that massive power outage, but Texans still have questions about whether the power grid can hold up to extreme winter and summer weather. What does the climate crisis, coupled with aging infrastructure, mean for people in Texas and beyond? In this episode, Rachel Martin speaks with Mose Buchele from NPR member station KUT in Austin, who has been exploring these questions in the new season of The Disconnect.
