Meta, which owns Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, is cutting 10,000 jobs. The tech giant laid off 11,000 employees last November. China is to start issuing tourist visas to travellers for the first time in three years. The last cross-border control measure was imposed to guard against Covid-19 and comes after authorities declared victory over the virus. It's a month after a devastating earthquake killed nearly 50,000 people in southern Turkey. Plans to rebuild the economy from the Syrian side of the border are underway.
